Thank you for attending the ESSR 2024 Annual Scientific Meeting in Lugano, Switzerland!
Dear colleagues and friends,
On behalf of the ESSR, it was a great pleasure for me to have invited you to participate in the 31st Annual Meeting of our society from June 6 to June 8, 2024, in Lugano, Switzerland. The congress venue was the Convention Centre “Centro Congressi”, located in the Ciani Park, the green heart of our city in the Italian speaking part of Switzerland.
The scientific program focused on imaging of the knee, with a refresh course lasting two days. Furthermore, the program included several focus sessions organized by the subcommittees of the Society. On Thursday, June 6, the program offered several workshops. First, the popular "hands-on" Ultrasound workshops in MSK Ultrasound, second the very welcomed workshop on spondyloarthritis, third the workshop “back to the basics”, which emphasized the conventional radiology findings in several musculoskeletal diseases, and fourth, a workshop focusing on AI in imaging. In addition, in the afternoon, the Swiss society of musculoskeletal Radiology (SSSR) organized a workshop.
The 31st ESSR annual meeting was open to welcome both musculoskeletal and general radiologists, members and non-members of ESSR. We focused on three main topics: investing in the youth and the next generation of musculoskeletal radiologists, increasing skills and knowledge in the field of musculoskeletal radiology, and boosting collaborations and connections with other societies in the musculoskeletal field.
The social program was attractive for both the participants and their companions and was a great opportunity to meet colleagues.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to all colleagues in ESSR Committees and Subcommittees as well as the local and international board members for their substantial contribution in building up the scientific program.
